Salute to Venencio “Ka Nessy” Lizarda
12 April 2008
The Migrante family in Jeddah wishes to express our deepest condolences to the family bereaved by the sudden demise of Venencio “Ka Nessy” Lizarda on 11 April 2008 due to heart complications. He was 62 years old.
Ka Nessy was a long-time organizer of ‘stranded’ Filipinos and was instrumental in the organizing of Migrante Sectoral Party (MSP) in Jeddah. He was in fact elected as Chapter Chairperson of MSP-Jeddah in 2004.
In 2006, fueled by his commitment to serve his compatriots, Ka Nessy spearheaded the formation of Kapisanan ng Migranteng Pilipino (KMP) and was elected its Vice-Chairperson.
His untimely demise is a compound loss to the Migrante family in Jeddah at a time of great challenges to the community it wishes to serve ~ those ‘stranded’, runaways, in distress, jailed and detained.
